Sawyer’s international distributors continue to deliver filters to Compassion International sponsored families. Our distributors assemble the filters to buckets and travel to various locations within their country to provide the filters.
Sawyer distributors educate the filter recipients on how to use the filter, how to clean the filter, the importance of clean water, etc.
Here is a glimpse of a distribution that took place last week in Uganda.

Our church works with a mnistry that teaches literacy to adults in the Wa region and help over 30 churches with materials for church & Sunday School. They also help a work in Tumu building a Christing School and works in Teme with 7 churches and 2 schools. Almost all places have no running water and must walk to a public well or some place to buy water by the pan full and carry back on their heads. I believe we could easily use 60 of the water purifiers. I am checking to see if they can get the buckets needed to use the one that comes with the drill bit. I may have to send them the drill also but I would love to know what is the best price I can get for the kits if I can raise funds to buy 60. The northern region especially is extremely poor. The pastors get few tithes and offerings except food products so selling them would not be practical in most of the areas we are helping. We may have a couple of micro-businesses we help there that could sell them if we can get them for a low enough price. This product would be so helpful to help so many people in that country!
The need is great in Ghana for the mosquito nets also because on one visit, the group had to go to the hospital and pick up the pastor’s wife as she was recovering from maleria.
